There’s somewhat of a see-saw movement happening with the remaining broadband stimulus funding of roughly $3 billion. The Senate has passed an amendment that cuts this remaining funding by $300 million. The cut still has to be approved by the House of Representatives.
This isn’t the first attempt to take back some broadband stimulus funding. There was an earlier attempt to remove $600 million, which initially passed the House, but not the Senate. Now the Senate has decided to remove the $300 million, which the House now has to approve. It’s quite the see-saw movement.
